The Role:

As Associate Director, you will oversee the firm’s Business Advisory department, managing a team of experienced Managers, Senior Accountants, and CA trainees. This is a hands-on leadership role, with a strong emphasis on client management, business development, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Business Advisory team, ensuring high-quality service delivery across accounts, tax, and advisory services.
• Manage a diverse portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients.
• Play a key role in business development, nurturing existing client relationships and identifying new opportunities for growth.
• Provide strategic input into the firm’s direction as part of the senior leadership team.
• Support and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
• Work closely with the outgoing partner during a structured 12-month transition and handover period.

About You:

• Chartered Accountant (CA / ACCA / ACA) or Qualified by Experience (QBE) with a strong background in accountancy practice.
• Currently at Senior Manager level or above in a practice setting, looking for a clear step up in responsibility.
• Strong business development and client management skills.
• A hands-on, commercial approach with experience in accounts, tax, and advisory work.
• Ambition to progress to equity partner level and contribute to the long-term success of the firm.
